President
Nelie Kouamou
Biography:
Nelie is a Production Analytics - Software Engineer with Boeing, moved in the Lowcountry in 2017. She has been part of SWE since 2015. During her years at Texas A&M College Station, while doing her Master in Industrial and Systems Engineering, she served as SWE Graduate Student Membership Coordinator. She has previously been elected Vice-president and President for the Lowcountry Society of women engineers. She always enjoys volunteering in associations such as IISE, NSBE or Women in Aviation. In her spare time, she enjoys Travel, movies, hanging out with friends, photography, or trying new food.

Veronique Parker
Biography:
Veronique (Ronnie) has been a member of SWE since 2009. She held the Secretary Officer position for her college SWE section during her senior year at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) where she graduated with her B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering in 2013. Since graduation, Ronnie has been working for the Boeing Company as an Avionics & Flight Controls Field Engineer on the C17 program and completed her Master of Engineering degree through Mississippi State University in 2019. She held the Secretary Officer position for the Lowcountry SWE section from 2014 - 2021 and the VP position since 2022. In her free time, Ronnie likes to play tennis, read, and spend time with family - especially her new baby.
Veronique Parker
Biography:
Veronique (Ronnie) has been a member of SWE since 2009. Jennifer Meador
Biography:
Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University in 2001 and her Master of Science of Paper Science and Engineering from the Institute of Paper Science and Technology in 2003. She began her career in Charleston, SC with the MeadWestvaco Paper Mill where she concentrated on process engineering and technical sales. After focusing several years on her family as a military spouse and mother, Jennifer is currently working for the Ingevity Corporation as a Research Engineer in Performance Materials. Jennifer served SWE Lowcountry as the Girl Scout Outreach chair and the K-12 Outreach chair in FY21. She enjoys volunteering, being creative, and running in her spare time.

Kimberly Cumbie
Biography:
Kim Cumbie is a Release Train Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton where she has worked since 2015. Kim has a Bachelor’s of Science in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from Penn State University, and earned her Masters in Mathematics with a focus on Statistics from the College of Charleston. Prior to moving to Charleston, SC in 2002, Kim worked as a satellite engineer on the Hubble Telescope and Terra Satellite in Washington DC. She enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering as a Girl Scout Leader, running (especially Disney races), and reading a book by the pool.

Olivia Jones
Biography:
Olivia is Plant Strategy Engineer for Volvo Manufacturing plant in Ridgeville, SC. In this role, she researches and advises the plant on how to achieve long term goals. Previously, she has worked as a manufacturing engineer on lines that built gasoline fuel injectors and as a Production System Engineer coaching a manufacturing plant while studying with Toyota. Olivia is the director for the 2023 Women in Industry Day hosted jointly between Society of Women Engineers and Charleston Women in Tech. She has been participating in the event since its inauguration and has loved to see it grow over the past few years.
In her spare time, Olivia likes to sail on a 26’ boat in the Charleston harbor, is part of a social kickball league and is an enthusiastic member of her book club.

Erica graduated from Clemson with a B.S. (2010) and from Carnegie Mellon with a M.S. (2011) and Ph.D. (2014) in Material Science. Erica has previous been elected as the Social Chair for the Carnegie Mellon Graduate Assembly, Vice President and President of the GE Newcomers Club, ASM Eastern NY Symposium Chair, and GE Whitney Club Department representative. Her duties included planning, organizing, and running social events for groups between 20-1000+ people, managing event budgets, coordinating event volunteers, entertainment and food/beverage, and chairing committee meetings. Erica is passionate about SWE and building a strong and inclusive community through networking and social opportunities.

Charley Goodwin:
Biography:
Charley Goodwin is a PhD student in the Clemson University - Medical University of South Carolina bioengineering program. Her main topics include surface characterization and the corrosion of medical device implants. She moved to Charleston after graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a B.S in Biomedical Engineering in 2020. Outside of work Charley enjoys going to the beach, kayaking, and checking out the local breweries.

Brianna Rice
Biography:
Brianna is a staff engineer at Terracon Consultants. She has worked for Terracon since 2019, first as a Lab Coordinator and upon graduating started as a geotechnical engineer in 2021. She got her Associates of Science from Trident Tech in 2019 and B.S. in Civil Engineering from the Citadel in 2021. She joined SWE while at the Citadel in 2020. Since graduating she has been involved in many employee resource groups and several collegiate engineering outreach events at The Citadel and Trident Tech. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and spending time with her family, friends, and cats.
Brianna Rice
Biography:

Heidi Anderson is a Coastal Engineer working for Applied Technology Management (ATM) in Mount Pleasant, SC. Her favorite projects are shoreline protection and marina designs. She moved to Charleston in 2021 from Rochester Hills, Michigan. Her undergraduate degree is from Michigan Technological University in Environmental Engineering and she is currently pursuing her Masters in Civil Engineering with a focus in Coastal from Old Dominion University online. Heidi is a self-taught ecologist, volunteers as an Exhibit Guide at the SC Aquarium, and loves the beach! Heidi recently joined SWE and hopes to contribute to education and outreach programs.

Currently working as a Quality Engineer at Boeing South Carolina, she continues to work with cross-functional teams on corrective action and process improvements. She has been a member of Lowcountry SWE since 2012 and has previously served as the Lowcountry SWE Social Chair. Monique is currently serving as the Section Representative and represents Lowcountry SWE on the Charleston Engineering Joint Council (CEJC) and other professional engineering associations.
