Jan 2010: Happy New Year!

• Lowcountry SWEsters and family walk the Cooper River Bridge.
• Mr. Ken Dilks presents "Those awful technical documents that engineers have to write".

Dec 2009: Second Annual Holiday Party. Professionals and collegiates enjoyed food and beverage at Sticky's of Mt. Pleasant.

Nov 2009: Lowcountry SWE published their first newsletter.

Oct 2009: FY10 Officer elections were held.

Sept 2009: The Citadel Collegiate Section hosted a luncheon for the professional. Welcome back to class!

Aug 2009: Nancy Birkedahl presented "Four Generations in the Work Place."

July 2009: Began our partnership with Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina for coaching and mentoring of FIRST LEGO League Robotics Teams. We also had an evening social, Happy Hour.

June 2009: SWE National Board of Directors approved Lowcountry Section Charter 6-12-09

March 2009: Guest speaker, Mr. Harley Wattrick, Director of Analysis & Testing, Force Protection Inc

February 2009: First Career Advancement Training, “10 Laws of Conversation and Effective Collaboration”

December 2008: First Annual Holiday Party

November 2008: Conducted regularly monthly meeting with first guest speaker

• Jennet Robinson Alterman, Executive Director, Center for Women, in Charleston
• We also established our first relationship with the Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina, Director, Ms. Lesley Robinson

October 2008: Participated in Susan G. Komen, Race for a Cure

September 2008: Officers worked on draft of petition to charter with National

August 2008: Officers were elected and committees were formed

June 2008: First interest meeting was conducted
